Since 2007, under our parent company Fresh Select, we’ve been the "silent partner" behind some of the city’s most prestigious restaurant kitchens. We’ve spent nearly two decades sourcing the finest cuts for demanding chefs who settle for nothing less than perfection.

But as the world changed, so did we. Today, we are proud to step out from behind the swinging kitchen doors and into your home under our new name: Stack Butchers.

The Fresh Select Legacy

Our story didn’t start with a website; it started with a butcher's block and a commitment to the Glasgow hospitality industry. From succulent steaks for West End bistros to the perfect morning rolls for city-centre cafes, Fresh Select became synonymous with reliability and quality.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, our restaurant partners had to close their doors. But we knew Glasgow still needed to eat, and supermarket shelves were looking a bit bare. We pivoted, launching home deliveries to help our community through a tough time.

The feedback was clear: “Why can’t we get meat this good all the time?”

We decided it was time to give our home delivery service its own identity. Stack Butchers represents everything we’ve learned since 2007. It’s about more than just meat; it’s about the "stack"—the layers of quality, heritage, and local pride that go into every order.
